Guest WiFi

Network: KPUGUEST

You will be asked for a mobile phone number. An access code will be sent to that mobile phone and guests will require this code to login to the network.

Access will remain valid for a 24-hour period on each guest device before they will be prompted to log in again, even if the guest leaves and re-joins the 'KPUGuest' network during that period.

For additional details on Wi-Fi connection and troubleshooting, visit our Wi-Fi Connection and Troubleshooting Page

Please note: Wi-Fi access may be limited in certain parts of the campus depending on your location.

Moodle

What is Moodle?

Moodle is the student learning platform where your online courses are hosted. You'll log into Moodle to find your courses, course material, assignments and quizzes.

How can I login to Moodle?

Log in with your Student ID and PIN. You can access Moodle at https://community.moodle.kpu.ca/

I changed my password but it isn't working yet. Why is that?

For Moodle, it might take time for the changes to be synced (for the new password to be updated in Moodle).  Please try using the updated password 1-2 days later and see if it works. Otherwise, please check with our IT department on https://www.kpu.ca/it/students

For more information on Moodle access, please refer to the Student FAQ webpage.

I logged into CPS Moodle but I can't see the English course. What should I do?

Contact us on shorttermkpu@kpu.ca and advise us of the issue. We can confirm with the instructor that you are added onto Moodle. Generally speaking if you can login to the Moodle site you will be fine.

The English instructors will also go through it with you on the first day of class to make sure that you have access to the course.

Is there more resources for Moodle?

Yes, more information on Moodle can be found HERE. Click HERE for videos* on how to use it.

*Please note that we will be using continue.moodle.kpu.ca instead of the site mentioned in the videos as there are different Moodle sites for different courses. The interfaces and functions of the sites are the same

Student Emails

Before your short-term program begins, you will receive an email from KPU with instructions on how to log in to your KPU email account and set up a password.

KPU Email vs. Personal Email: When to Use Each

  • Your KPU email will be the primary way you receive important communications throughout your program. - Instructors will use your KPU email to share course-related information. - Program staff will contact you via your KPU email regarding important updates and announcements.
  • Your personal email may still be used by certain external service providers. If you registered for services such as accommodation or temporary health insurance using your personal email, those providers may reach out to you via that email.

Checking Your Emails: What You Need to Know

  • Before your program starts: It is important to check both your KPU email and your personal email to ensure you receive all relevant information.
  • During the program: You will primarily use your KPU email for communication. During orientation, we will inform you if you need to continue checking both email accounts throughout your program.

Please make sure to check your emails regularly to stay updated!
