Congratulations and Welcome to KPU!  We are so excited that you will be joining us shortly. In this page you will find important sessions to attend before you start class! These sessions are mandatory for international students to make sure you have all the information you may need to start your first term successfully. 

Pre-Arrival Guide

Travelling to Canada soon? Not sure what to pack, what to expect at the border and what life in Canada is like overall? If this sounds like you, please click here for access to the essential pre-arrival information, live session and video series. This is your first step toward your new KPU journey, and it’s a good idea to review it at least 4–6 weeks before your planned travel to Canada.

Live Orientation Session

This session is held online in a live format and is mandatory for all new international students starting at KPU in the upcoming semester. During this session, you will learn about the various departments that support you throughout your university experience, as well as essential information you need to know as a new international student. The session is usually held 2 weeks before the semester start date and information is sent to all new international students KPU mail box in advance.

Are you a new international student in the Summer 2026 intake? Join the live session of orientation for new international students starting in Summer 2026 term on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 9:00am Pacific Time. If you join after the date, the link will still show you the recording of the session.

Online Orientation Course

This FREE self-paced course allows students to get started in getting prepared for their first semester at KPU. Designed for both Domestic and International students. this course requires registration. Spring 2026 online orientation course link could be found here . 

Note: Please ignore the title Fall 2025, as this is the term when the course was designed and it could not be updated.

New Student Orientation (In-Person)

The in-person New Student Orientation event is for new KPU students to explore the campus, explore the various resources and services available at KPU, connect with the KPU community (make friends), get prepared for your first semester at KPU and a chance to win some cool prizes!
